The Breathwork Series at The Body-Based Mindfulness Center is a structured, trauma-informed program designed to harness the power of conscious breathing for emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and personal empowerment. This series is suitable for individuals at all levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners, and offers a supportive environment to explore various breathwork techniques.

Schedule: Monday Evenings, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Mindfulness Classes

The Mindfulness Classes at The Body-Based Mindfulness Center provide a supportive, trauma-informed space to cultivate awareness of the present moment while fostering emotional balance and inner peace. Through guided meditations, breathing exercises, and reflective practices, participants develop the skills to observe their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations without judgment. Whether you’re new to mindfulness or deepening an established practice, these classes are designed to help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote holistic well-being.

Drop-ins are welcome.

Open Heart Sangha

The Open Heart Sangha Classes at The Body-Based Mindfulness Center offer a guided mindfulness and meditation experience rooted in compassion, presence, and spiritual connection. Inspired by communal practices of contemplation and deep listening, these trauma-informed classes help cultivate inner stillness and emotional resilience while fostering a supportive sense of community. Participants of all backgrounds are welcome to experience greater self-awareness, healing, and heart-centered growth in a safe, nurturing environment.

Trauma-Informed Self-Defense Classes

The Trauma-Informed Self-Defense Classes at The Body-Based Mindfulness Center are thoughtfully designed to empower individuals by teaching practical safety skills while honoring each participant’s personal boundaries and healing journey. These classes focus on building confidence, bodily awareness, and nervous system regulation through safe, accessible self-defense techniques. Rooted in trauma-informed principles, this program supports survivors of trauma and anyone seeking to feel more secure in their body while providing a space to reconnect with personal strength and resilience.

Registration is required.

Yin/Yasa Yoga

The Yin/Yasa Yoga Classes at The Body-Based Mindfulness Center combine the gentle, calming flow of Yin yoga with the dynamic, strength-building elements of Vinyasa. This trauma-informed practice helps participants release tension, improve flexibility, and restore mind-body balance through mindful movement and breathwork. Suitable for all levels, Yin/Yasa Yoga encourages deeper connection with the body’s sensations while promoting emotional release and nervous system regulation in a compassionate and supportive environment.

Registration is required.
