Especially beneficial for those experiencing intense emotions, self-harming behaviors, or challenges in relationships, DBT emphasizes building concrete skills to navigate life with more balance and resilience.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a goal-oriented, evidence-based therapy that focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. At The Body-Based Mindfulness Center, CBT is often integrated with somatic practices to support a holistic approach to healing. It is ideal for clients dealing with anxiety, depression, or trauma-related challenges, and promotes more adaptive ways of thinking and living.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy at our center is trauma-informed, gentle, and rooted in the understanding that the body holds memory and tension. Sessions are designed not only for relaxation but also for releasing chronic pain and somatic tension tied to past trauma or stress. Our practitioners focus on creating a safe, grounding space for clients to reconnect with their bodies.

Somatic Therapy 

Somatic Psychotherapy emphasizes body awareness as a gateway to emotional healing. Through techniques like tracking body sensation, mindful movement, breath work, and inner dialogue, clients learn to regulate their nervous systems and shift from survival states into healing and empowerment. This approach is ideal for clients working through trauma, anxiety, chronic pain, or relational issues.

HeartMath Biofeedback

HeartMath Biofeedback is a science-backed approach that uses heart rhythm monitoring technology to help clients build resilience and improve emotional regulation. By learning to shift into heart coherence, clients gain tools for managing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. This method is accessible, empowering, and often used alongside therapy or as a stand-alone wellness service.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a structured, research-supported therapy especially effective in treating trauma and PTSD. At our center, EMDR is used to help clients reprocess distressing memories and shift limiting beliefs using bilateral stimulation, typically through eye movements or tapping. It allows for deep, often rapid healing without requiring clients to retell traumatic events in great detail.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a powerful therapeutic approach that uses eye positioning to access the subcortical brain where trauma is stored. This method allows clients to process emotional wounds that are beyond the reach of traditional talk therapy. Practitioners at our center use Brainspotting to gently access and resolve deeply held trauma responses, often paired with somatic or mindfulness-based approaches.
